Fish and Wildlife Management Board

Purpose:                      The board’s purpose is to formulate a statement of fish and wildlife management practices appropriate to the region, subject to the approval of the State Fish and Wildlife Management Board and the Commissioner of Environmental Conservation.  The board, upon approval by the State, has the duty to encourage landowners, leases and sportsmen within that region to adopt and carry out the policies and procedures of the board.
