Chautauqua County Health Board

Purpose:                      The purpose of the Board is to promulgate, adopt, and publish rules, regulations, orders and directives for the security of life and health in Chautauqua County.  The Board had the authority to 1] issue subpoenas, 2] compel attendance of witnesses, 3] administer oaths to witnesses to compel testimony, 4] issue warrants to any peace officers of a municipality to apprehend and remove persons, 5] prescribe penalties, and 6] appoint hearing officers.
