Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees

Purpose:                      To uphold the mission of Jamestown Community College.

Membership

Number of Members: 15

City of Jamestown = 4 members: 2 appointed locally and 2 appointed by the state
Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties = 10 members: 6 locally and 4 appointed by the state
JCC students also elect a student trustee each year.

Terms: 7 years

Legislators:                  Two legislators currently serve on the board but there is no ruling that stipulates that the board must include a legislative representative.

Representation:           Jamestown, Chautauqua, or Cattaraugus

Legislative Approval: Only on appointments made by County Executive

Board Chair:                Samuel P. Price, Jr. (term ends summer 2003)
