Planning Board

Purpose:                      The purpose of the board is to perform planning work for the County.  The board is empowered to prepare a Master Plan, submit it to the legislature.  The Planning Board must be given an opportunity to examine and comment on all plans to construct or reconstruct any state or county highways before final approval is given.  The Planning Board also reviews all proposed capital projects and recommends short and long term needs to the Executive and the Legislature.
