How do I know if my child is eligible for Early Intervention services?   How can I have my home tested for mold?
Eligibility is determined by a multidisciplinary evaluation. Click here for more information.   The Chautauqua County Health Department does not test for mold. The mold brochure may help answer some questions.
     
Is there a cost for Early Intervention services?   Where can I get my pet vaccinated?
If your child qualifies after having a developmental evaluation, services based on a child's individual need, will be provided at no cost to the family. Reimbursement is sought from third party insurances but by law, cannot affect a family's insurance life-time cap or any deductions.   How do I report unsanitary restaurant conditions or a potential food borne illness?

  Any potentially hazardous restaurant conditions should be immediately reported to the County Health Department by calling the nearest district office.
     
How can I find more information about diseases?   What is a loan survey or a property transfer survey?
Visit the NYS Health Department website.   Loan agencies often require that an evaluation or test be performed on the well/water and septic prior to the sale of a home. Click here for more information about these services.
     
How can I find out more about international travel?   Can my home be tested for lead based paint?
Visit the Center for Disease Control website.   The Chautauqua County Health Department has a team of professionals that can help test for high levels of lead. Click here for more information about these service.
