Looking for child care?
If you are looking for child care, the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCRR) is a great place to start. The CCRR maintains up to date information about all types of legal child care programs in Chautauqua County.

If you want help locating child care or have questions about child care call 1-800-424-4532. The CCRR will be able to give you names of providers in your area that may meet your child care needs. Remember though, this is just a starting point. You will need to contact the provider to see if they have space available for your child and to visit the provider to make sure for yourself that this is the right match for you.

Looking for help paying for child care?
In general, families are eligible for financial assistance if they meet New York State's low-income guidelines and need child care to work or attend employment-related training. You are guaranteed child care if you are receiving Public Assistance and need child care in order to meet work participation requirements. You may be eligible for child care for one year after leaving Public Assistance if your case is closed because you went to work and need child care so you can continue to work. The Chautauqua County Department of Social Services determines eligibility for child care assistance based on income, reasons for needing child care and your child's age and individual needs.

If you interested in applying for child care please call the CCRR at 1-800-424-4532 to schedule an appointment. If you would like information about eligibility requirements please contact your local Department of Social Services office.
