JOB OPENINGS AND CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS

Listed below are the job and exam opportunities currently available for application. The column labeled "Type of Opportunity" is explained as follows:

Immediate Opening - An application form should be completed and sent to The Chautauqua County Department of Human Resources. These jobs either do not require a competitive civil service examination, or will require a competitive examination after a candidate is selected.

One-time Examination - An examination has been announced with a limited application period. Applications will only be accepted for the duration of the announcement for a scheduled exam date. Click on the job title to view the examination announcement which details the application instructions, subjects of examination and minimum qualifications.

Periodically Held Examination - Applications for examination are continuously accepted for exams that are held two or more times throughout the year. When the next exam date has been determined, approved applications received by the listed deadline will be scheduled for that exam date. Applicants that file after the deadline will be included in the next scheduled exam date.
