Juvenile Delinquents A Juvenile Delinquent is a child over 7 and less than 16 years of age who commits an act that would be a crime if the child were an adult (16 years or older). The Office of Probation provides services to children alleged and adjudicated (by the Family Court) to be Juvenile Delinquents. Probation Officers work with the juveniles and their families to provide intervention services with the hope of avoiding further Court action. Services can be provided to these juveniles both pre and post Family Court adjudications. |
