HONOR FLIGHT

Are you a World War II Veteran who has never seen the National WWII Memorial in Washington DC?

If so, you may be interested in finding out more about Honor Flight. The Honor Flight Program was created in 2005 to provide every WWII veteran an opportunity to see THEIR memorial. The flight is free for veterans and those aboard the flight will be escorted around the nation's capitol for the day. Applications are currently being accepted only for WWII veterans and terminally ill veterans from all wars.
Any veterans interested in the Honor Flight Program can learn more at the Official website www.honorflight.org or call our office 716-661-8255.

National Purple Heart
Hall of Honor

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is currently being built in New York's Hudson Valley.

Located just over 10 miles from the United States Military Academy at West Point, the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor pays tribute to those who were killed or injured defending this great nation.

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is scheduled to open November 11, 2006 and it would be wonderful to have those citizen soldiers and airmen, who have sacrificed so much, included in this very worthwhile project. Any service member who has earned a Purple Heart shall be afforded a place in the Hall. They simply need to send a copy of their DD214 to the address below:

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor
P.O. Box 207
Vails Gate NY 12584

Please feel free to contact William J. Larkin Jr., New York State Senate, Room 612, Legislative Office Bldg., Albany NY 12247 with any questions.
